At LagoonLife Foundation, we believe that marine conservation must begin with education and engagement. That’s why community awareness is one of our foundational pillars. In March 2025, we launched our first outreach activities through a series of environmental education sessions with young learners in Mauritius.
Over three consecutive Saturdays, LagoonLife collaborated with Enfant Nature and Save the Blue to deliver educational sessions to children. These workshops introduced participants to the wonders of marine wildlife, the importance of protecting biodiversity, and the urgent need to care for our oceans.
The children learned how to identify different types of corals, distinguish between healthy and bleached reefs, and understand the causes and consequences of coral bleaching. We also explained the purpose and impact of coral farming—why it matters, how it works, and how they can be part of ocean stewardship.
Inspiring Future Ocean Guardians
These early awareness sessions marked the beginning of our education mission. Our goal is to empower the next generation with the knowledge, curiosity, and sense of responsibility needed to protect the marine ecosystems that surround them. As LagoonLife grows, we plan to expand our outreach to more schools, youth groups, and communities across Mauritius.
